The Greater Miami Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc. marks 30 years of volunteer service to children and youth of South Miami-Dade County communities by celebrating its 30th Anniversary on Saturday, April 7, 2018, 7:00 p. m., at the InterContinental Doral Miami, 2505 N.W. 87th Avenue, Doral, Florida 33172. The theme of this gala event is “An Evening of Pearl Elegance…30 years of Serving Children,” a fundraiser to support the organization’s annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors, and its programs and projects in the areas of health, education, employment, and recreation, plus arts and humanities.
The evening will feature a wonderful keynote speaker, presentations, dinner, dancing and exciting entertainment. The cost per ticket is $125; sponsorship packages are available, and ads may also be purchased for placement in the souvenir journal.
Continental Societies, Inc., an international public service organization dedicated to the socioeconomic and cultural welfare of underprivileged children and youth, was founded in June 1956 and incorporated in 1972. Its mission is to create environments within communities that empower children to have access to quality and appropriate opportunities to reach their optimal potential. On January 30, 1988, the chapter was installed in Miami under the sponsorship of the Atlanta, Georgia Chapter as part of the national organization. It became the 32nd chapter in the 32nd year of Continental Societies, Inc. to officially become a member.
